The International Union for Conservation of Nature or IUCN has listed four species of albatrosses which are classified as critically endangered. This means that these birds are under extreme threat of extinction. Among this group of birds are the Chatham albatross, Tristan albatross, Amsterdam albatross and Waved albatross.
